Are you feeling the Olympic spirit? I sure am – it’s been amazing Games for team USA! Today’s card is one of those solid players – a utility player if you will. A design that will fit many needs – to accompany a gift, to give encouragement, to just say “hi”. A sentiment like “this is for you”, coupled with some solid patterns is the perfect recipe for a utility card – one of many to have at the ready for any occasion!

Utility cards, like utility players, fill in for any occasion, and are ready to go!Click To Tweet

Today’s design was also brought to you with inspiration from the latest Pals Paper Arts sketch – this week, provided by Amy Lazzell. I hope you play along with us this week!

Maven’s Mastery Tips

No, not mind your own business – but Make Your Own Background! Today’s Pinnable tip is to use multiple stamps (either clear mount, or photopolymer) on a large block to create your own background pattern. You can use stamps from the same set, or different ones. Get creative! Click the Pin button on the picture to the right to save this tip to one of your Pinterest boards!

Metal Medallions & Sentiments

Using our Gold, Silver, or soon to be released COPPER FOIL adds that lovely metallic shine to any project in a jiffy. If you want to stamp on it, you need to use Staz On, or if you’re really careful, you can emboss on it. (The Embossing Buddy is a MUST!) Be sure to stamp straight up and down, no rolling or smooshing, or you’re image will smear.

Hidden Holidays

The DSP behind the stamped paisleys is from the new Halloween DSP – Halloween Night Specialty DSP. You might not celebrate Halloween, but that doesn’t mean this paper is out! There are some really lovely patterns that can be used outside of the holiday – even a pattern with pumpkins that could be used for fall or Thanksgiving projects!
