Yah – I’m a little late posting this today. As a matter of fact, yes, I’ve been a bit absent on the blog, but I’ve been a busy bee making improvements to the Loft and working on projects and all sorts of good stuff, which I’ll share with you over the coming weeks. But, today, it’s our last PPA challenge of the year! What will you make with this wonderful sketch?
Yes, it’s pretty simple, but there are soooo many possibilities! From last minute holiday cards to Valentines or any other occasion, this sketch is a classic that will fit the bill for anything. Let’s see what I designed!
Maven’s Mastery Tips
Traveler is Tricky...
I love the Traveler stamp set, but I find it a bit tricky to use. My tip to you is to use the images to coordinate with the sentiment. In this case, I used the camera to go with “Happy Birthday” because we’re always taking pictures at birthday events. The globe, suitcase or boat could be used for retirement, or best wishes when someone is moving on from one job to another. How have you used this set? Leave a suggestion in the comments below!
More than a Wink
If you’ve never used it, Wink of Stella is a MUST for your January order. I used it on the camera with the brush tip as designed, but I ALSO used it to make the distressed splatter. Just tap the brush with the side of your finger and make splatters all over. It is sooo cool!
Easy Gloss Accents
There’s quite a few ways you can add glossy, raised accents to your designs. There’s clear embossing powder, and Crystal Effects (a personal favorite), AND, there’s our new Fine Tip Glue Pen. It’s got that tiny tip that makes application a breeze, even in the smallest places. I used it on the camera, and it was dry in a flash! If you like to do Crystal Effects in classes, but hate that it takes a while to dry, the Fine Tip Glue Pen is a perfect alternative!

Now it’s your turn! Take some time this weekend for yourself and play along with this great Pals Paper Arts sketch. We can’t wait to see what you do with it!
