Just Add Color: Hello!
Just Add Color: Hello!
I’ve got a new tutorial & kit for you today! It’s called Just Add Color Hello…
Today’s card was designed for Tic Tac Toe Challenge. Design Team O is up this week with another fun challenge board.
Don’t forget to leave a comment at the end of the post to qualify for my monthly giveaway!
I went for the bottom row this week – Black or White, 1 layer, Free. My “free” element is basically “pop of color”. And, though this isn’t strictly a 1-layer card (the DSP is layered on top of the Basic Black cardstock), the DSP is adhered directly to the black and there are no other embellishments or pop-up elements. Sometimes super simple is just right!
What I love about this design, and what you’ll see in the Project Tutorial & Kit is that this one layout works for all of the DSP in the pack – leaving you with lots of design options.
This is technically a Paper Pumpkin alternate idea as I used the stamp set from the Aug 2016 – Bold Botanicals kit. Though any sentiment from “hello” to “welcome” or “welcome to the neighborhood” would work great!
Don't Forget about the GIVEAWAY!
Every month, I give away a sweet surprise to one lucky commenter. So, don't forget to leave a COMMENT on today's post to enter!
If you loved today's project, I'd love to know! The blogosphere can be a lonely place, so please don't lurk! Leave a quick word or two to tell me you were here!
Don’t you just love the eclipse technique? How about the faux-clipse?
The eclipse technique is super fun and not too difficult, but I created a riff on the technique, I’m calling a faux-clipse.
Spring is trying so hard to melt all the snow here in East Nebraska – but, it’s coming! Soon, the grass will be growing and little plants will be pushing up from the ground. Why not add to the anticipation with a lovely, but simple, faceted floral design, courtesy of Concord & 9th!
It’s time to chillax with some coloring!
I took my project over the top today with a combination of Copic and Polychromos pencil coloring. I am not embarassed to say that the elements took me about 90 minutes to color.
