Festive Friday: Use Your Scraps!
Festive Friday: Use Your Scraps!
Are scraps taking over your workspace?
I was so excited to get to this week’s Festive Friday challenge! And, no, it’s not because I have some crazy love for buttons…. In fact, my project doesn’t use buttons at all. BUT, it does use a LOT of scraps! I’m not talking about the plain cardstock scraps left from cutting or diecutting. Those of useable size go back with the rest of the cardstock sheets. I’m talking about the idea rejects, the leftover diecuts or negative images, the extra, beautifully colored or stamped pieces, background sheets, etc. I save almost all of that stuff. (Unless it’s really just a hot mess). I figure, I worked hard to create it, I might just use it some day… Well, that day was today!

How can you play along with this challenge? Using the Inspo List, grab at least three items and create a project to link to the challenge. There’s a wide range of ideas to choose from, so even if you’re not feeling the “Button Day” part of the challenge, you can still play along!

Here’s my take
I did two projects, both using up scraps! Some other elements I used were silver, green, stitching, wood, and circles. The great thing about grabbing items from the scrap bin is that so much of the work is already done! I just had to find some items that looked good together and assemble! It was so easy, I made two cards 😀
If you’re not so sure about adding stitching to your project, you’ll want to watch the video for sure. It’s not hard at all! You don’t need a special die or even a sewing machine 😀
