Festive Friday: Bubble Over Brew Fiesta

Cinco de Mayo is a few short weeks away! (And we’re ready!!)

We have a new challenge over at Festive Friday Challenge that will get you thinking about the Mexican festival.  In the U.S., we extend the idea of the historical event into a full-on celebration of the Mexican culture. In Omaha, there are parades, carnivals and lots and lots of food!

Chances are, you don’t need an actual Cinco de Mayo card – but you can be inspired  by all of the colors and textures and amazing sights that happen during this fantastic festivity!

Still not feeling it? Create something with glitter or glimmer paper instead!

Don’t forget to leave a comment at the end of the post to qualify for my monthly giveaway!

I used the “and” option this week – creating a project inspired by the colors of Cinco de Mayo (bright purples, pinks, yellows, oranges…) and a tiny bit of Glimmer Paper (do you see it behind the sentiment?).

See how easy it is to play along?

I created a fun Rich Razzleberry bottle using my Stampin’ Blends and Whisper White cardstock, along with the Bottles & Bubbles Framelits dies.  And, it would appear that I’m in love with black rhinestones this week…

Here’s the PDF for you to use for free! Don’t forget to play along with Festive Friday and share your take on this week’s challenge.

AECP: Faux-clipse Thank You Card

Don’t you just love the eclipse technique? How about the faux-clipse?
The eclipse technique is super fun and not too difficult, but I created a riff on the technique, I’m calling a faux-clipse.

On the CASE: Faceted Flower

It’s coming!
Spring is trying so hard to melt all the snow here in East Nebraska – but, it’s coming! Soon, the grass will be growing and little plants will be pushing up from the ground. Why not add to the anticipation with a lovely, but simple, faceted floral design, courtesy of Concord & 9th!

AECP: Build a Garden Scene Card

It’s time to chillax with some coloring!
I took my project over the top today with a combination of Copic and Polychromos pencil coloring. I am not embarassed to say that the elements took me about 90 minutes to color.
