sketch #17

I really like sending out Valentines to the gals and pals in my life. It helps to make the holiday more special than just focusing on my love – because, in a way, they are all loves, aren’t they?! Here’s the sketch I’m using to create these two Valentines / Galentines / Palentines. Feel free to pin this image on Pinterest for future reference!

slimline galentine

How long has it been since you did some good old paper tearing? It’s been a while for me, but it’s back on my radar for sure! I modernized the look by stamping a pattern on the four gradient shades and then matching them up after I did the tearing process. The bonus from this slimline design is that I get to use the cut out letters for the second card!

a modern palentine

The black & white geometric pattern paper turns this into a great card for a guy pal-entine, or a gal-entine. I used scraps that I had stashed away with the rest of the paper pack, so it came together quickly. Especially because I was able to use the letters from the first card too!

Do you like the sentiments? They come from Better Together. It’s a great stamp set to have in your stash because it’s full of uplifting sentiments that will get you sending cards for other than “thanks”, “thinking of you”, and sympathy occasions.

Nicole-Good afternoon! I like both – but I am leaning towards the black/white. I do love the geometric strips. Take care and have a safe New Years.

I like it when parts can be used right away for another card. The b+w is my favorite.
