love & friendship
As you might expect with a theme like love & friendship, this month’s release has a lot of love and friendship type sentiments – wedding sentiments, encouragement sentiments, admiration sentiments… And, of course, lots of unique florals. What you won’t find is a lot of “valentine” stuff. I think that’s a good thing as it makes these sets more timeless – with the ability to use them year round instead of just one day.
Painted Hummingbird is a mini set that packs a punch! There are two different birds both with coordinating dies and a small thanks sentiment. I had a pretty easy time in creating this repeating pattern – just adding a few pencil lines to keep me on track. (It was easily erased when I was done). Adding in the contrasting lagoon bird going in the opposite direction helped it to really stand out. Of course, some enamel dots always seem to be the right embellishment!

I absolutely love the sheer size of the Modern Greetings set. it is a 6×8 set with two HUGE main stamps and a great assortment of supporting sentiments. I was able to take all of the gratitude related stamps and line them up in my Misti and do some repeat stamping in this month’s color combo. It was the perfect backdrop for that bold sentiment in black, with a sentiment strip in contrasting Lagoon, along with enamel dots.

If those huge sentiment stamps weren’t enough, how about a matching faux letterpress folder? You can use it on its own like II did here – pairing it with the Mixed Media inks. Or, you can stamp one of the sentiments from Modern Greetings and then use the coordinating folder to create a faux letterpress look. They match up perfect without difficulty!
Tall Foliage was made for slimlines! But, if you like, you can crop the images and use them for your A2 size projects too. The two floral images are lovely line images that ink and emboss well. There is also a coloring stencil that will help you add just the right shading with zero effort. I chose to gold emboss over this color blended panel, and then used Obsidian Black with the coloring stencil to add a unique look. And, check out that sentiment – so unique and wonderful!
