You should be arriving from Maryam Perez’s blog. If not, you can track back to the Altenew Card Blog to start at the beginning, or continue around until you loop back here.

introducing craft-a-flower tulip

This month’s Craft-a-Flower is not just one bloom, but THREE! You can create an amazing garden with this set and with all the different color variety of tulips, you’ll never run out of inspiration! You have a few choices to get this one in your stash. You can get just the die set, or the die set + gradient cardstock bundle, or sign up for the monthly subscription (save some $$ and be guaranteed to get the set each month)

Of course, you can create these lovely layering blooms using the Altenew Gradient cardstock (I’ll use that in my video), but you can also create beautiful variegated designs by cutting up a watercolor panel! I used the Tropical Fiesta watercolor brush markers to make a wash with lights and darks on some watercolor cardstock, then I took the panel to the dies and cut it up. These blooms were so beautiful that the project didn’t need much other than a soft background glow (with the new Altenew Blending Tool) and some more dies (Tall Alpha) for a simple sentiment.

Love Altenew? Check out all of my projects that feature this amazing company!

layering the tulip dies

You might take a look at the die set and think “wow, that looks tough!”, well, I thought I’d do a video to show you how easy it is to put the pieces together. Each flower is only THREE layers, and the leaves are only TWO! You can do it! (and you’ll love the oohs and aahs you get when someone gets your card!)

Thank You!

Time is precious and I'm truly grateful that you choose to spend a few minutes of your day with me! If you are in love with my projects and would like to see more, please support my business by following me on Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest.
