12 Days: Easy Blended Holiday Cards (and Giveaway!)

Making LOTS of cards this holiday season?

My eyes always bug out a bit when someone tells me that they need to make over 100 cards for the holidays! ARE. YOU. KIDDING? Of course, this declaration always comes around November when there’s no way they’ll finish and get them mailed. Today’s project is perfect if you have piles and piles of cards to make. You can stave off the boredom by changing up colors, and you can easily break up the work into manageable chunks. That way, you can tackle the project over a series of days, weeks, or even over a few months. And, you’ll still have all your cards done by Novemer.

Read on to find out how you can win this trio from me!

My Project

This trio of cards was really fun to make. I actually had to stop myself because I wanted to explore making them in even more colors! (I might still do that…). I started off with the blue one as I was thinking about the few cards that I send out to people who don’t celebrate Christmas. I still like to send them a card during the season because I want them to know that I’m thinking about them!

The Technique & Design

I love that this card is easy and that it can be done up in any color combo. They may look really involved, but it’s just a bit of ink blending, stamping and then adding the gold ink accents. You’ll seriously be done with a pile of these before you know it!

I also love that this is one of those designs that can be batched. Work on one part during each sitting and you’ll have a pile of pieces ready for assembly in no time! Do all your ink blending one day, then stamping another, adding the gold on a third day. Then, cut your cardstock mats and finally, on day 5 (or 10 or whatever), assemble!

Don’t forget to leave a comment at the end of the post to qualify for my quarterly giveaway!
